About the Lincoln Arts Council
The Lincoln Arts Council (LAC) serves as the central arts information and service agency for the city of Lincoln. The LAC provides support for Lincoln artists and arts organizations through programs and services that sustain and expand the capacity of the Lincoln arts community.
Our mission, vision statements, and core values are the driving force behind what we do.
The LAC began in 1968 when a small group of community members gathered together with a common passion for the arts in Lincoln. They formed an organization whose rich history of arts services and programs continues to evolve and meet the growing needs of arts organizations, artists and the community. The LAC was designated in 2006 as the City of Lincoln's agency for the arts by Mayoral Executive Order.
Our services and programs assist Lincoln's talented artists and organizations in the work of enriching our community.
The LAC has a dedicated board of directors who are supported by a professional staff. Our goal is to work together for the betterment of our community through the arts.
