The Lincoln Arts Council provides a diversity of services for the public, for arts organizations and for artists.
- Grants
Support of arts organizations, arts activities and artists are among the Lincoln Arts Council's top priorities. The council backs up that commitment with at least two grant programs each year. Past grants have awarded funds for organizational capacity building, technology development and arts-related projects. Programs for 2004 include the Woods Board Development Grant for Arts Organizations and LAC Grants for Artistic and Cultural Projects.

- Young Friends of the Arts
Lincoln is awash in arts events. Between the First Friday Gallery Walk, Thursday Night Jazz, Monday Night Poetry Reading, a half-dozen plays, a concert or two, dance performances, museum openings and a host of other choices, you hardly know which way to turn.
If you're over 21 and young at heart, Young Friends of the Arts will put you in the loop for finding out about Lincoln's hottest arts events.

To best serve those who want to enjoy the arts and culture in Lincoln, the council is committed to offering the most comprehensive calendar available.
