X Files: The Musical Is Coming to a Backyard Near You.

"X FILES: THE MUSICAL" is the seventh production and third backyard musical by The Colonel Mustard Amateur Attic Theatre Company in Lincoln, Nebraska. Millions of people worldwide love The X-Files, and we have transformed the show into a full-length theatrical spectacle, complete with alien ballads, UFO sightings, mad scientists, monster attacks, and far more fake blood than is necessary. Admission is free, of course! Original songs include:

“Totally Platonically…Us”

“I Wanna Believe So Bad”

and “Magical Manical Humanimals”

The spectacle begins at sunset (approximately 8:30pm) for two nights only (August 19th and 20th) in an empty lot downtown. Bring a picnic and stake out your spot on the grass as early as 6pm both nights. The show will last until approximately 10:30pm. Bring kazoos and squirt guns if you want to engage in ridiculous audience participation stunts, and of course don’t forget blankets and/or lawn chairs.

Two memorized pieces are welcome or you may bring material to read -- one piece should be from Shakespeare. Alternatively, scenes from Othello will be available.  Othello will be presented at the Lincoln Community Playhouse's family theater Thursdays through Sundays, October 6 - 24.  Rehearsals will begin August 25.  We are seeking an actor of color to play Othello.
