Artist Martha Rosler to Speak

Martha Rosler, who is featured in the Sheldon exhibition Shrew'd: The Smart and Sassy Survey of American Women Artists, will speak Monday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m. in Sheldon's Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium with a reception to follow.
Rosler is known for her work in various media including video, photo-text, installation, and performance, and writes criticism. Her works have been shown in Documenta VII and XII, exhibitions in Kassel, Germany; several Whitney biennials; the Institute of Contemporary Art in London; the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Dia Center for the Arts in New York; and many other international venues. A retrospective of her work has been shown in five European cities and in New York at the New Museum and the International Center of Photography.
