    The ladies of "Baby Needs Shoes" bring you songs that feature the fine, precise harmonies of the Andrews Sisters, coupled with modern song stylings that celebrate the trio's vocal versatility and talents on a variety of instruments.

    Their performances are wonderful packages of folk, jazz, novelty, and hilarious original tunes that reflect the individual tastes of the trio and their lively sense of humor. Their shows are always crowd pleasers.

  • Capital City Czech Choraliers
    The Capital City Czech Choraliers, an ethnic singing group, was organized in 1977 under the umbrella of the Nebraska Czechs of Lincoln. The Choraliers perform within Lincoln and surrounding communities, and also travel out of the state, preserving their musical heritage. They perform at festivals, senior centers, nursing homes, service clubs, anniversary parties, schools, etc. They have cut four recordings that can be purchased from Ray Svoboda of Lincoln NE at 402-488-6217, or J & P Records, 630 West P Street, Lincoln NE 68528-1325, or call 402-477-9391.

    The Lincoln Association for Traditional Arts (LAFTA) is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to preserve and promote folk and traditional music, dance and related arts in the Lincoln area.

    LAFTA is the only local organization that is specifically dedicated to bringing well-known traditional musicians and highly respected contemporary folk performers to the Lincoln area. The association also sponsors events that feature local musicians, songwriters, folk dancers and storytellers.

    We seek to provide reasonably priced concerts that are family-friendly, fully accessible and in smoke-free environments. House Concerts and Contra Dances are also part of our regular schedule.

    The Lincoln Boys Choir exists to engage boys aged 8 – 17 in the mastery and performance of choral music and to make a visible and worthwhile contribution to the cultural climate of the city of Lincoln, the state of Nebraska, and beyond. Currently in its sixth year since its reorganization in 2002, the Lincoln Boys Choir has become a regionally premier performing group. Choir members, currently 120 boys, perform in one of three groups: the Contare and Chorale, both under the direction of Burton Schernikau, and the Concert Choir, under the direction of Kevin Scheele and Judy Welch. Each group provides rehearsal, performance and travel experiences that enrich the lives of the performers as well as their audiences. Auditions are held each spring, with major concerts in both the winter and spring and performances throughout the year.

    We are a 75-member chorus located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and are always looking for a few good men---whether you sing tenor, lead, baritone, or bass.     The Lincoln Lutheran Choir exists to provide its members and its audiences first-hand exposure to the joys of singing and of hearing the great choral literature of the church. In addition, the choir seeks to achieve three significant goals: 1) to preserve in performance the music of the church's liturgical heritage of all ages, including the present; 2) to focus on the Lutheran choral heritage and other similar repertoires, extending them by means of contemporary composition; 3) to encourage a lively appreciation of the vast and varied treasury of the church, particularly those pieces arising within or compatible with Lutheran practices.

    Founded in 1981 by Carolee Curtright, Professor of Music and Choral Activities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Choruses include male and female singers, ages 8 to 18 from Lincoln and surrounding communities. Annual holiday and spring concerts are held at the Lied Center and feature guest choirs. The Cantores groups also perform at community events.
