The Lincoln Lutheran Choir exists to provide its members and its audiences first-hand exposure to the joys of singing and of hearing the great choral literature of the church. In addition, the choir seeks to achieve three significant goals: 1) to preserve in performance the music of the church's liturgical heritage of all ages, including the present; 2) to focus on the Lutheran choral heritage and other similar repertoires, extending them by means of contemporary composition; 3) to encourage a lively appreciation of the vast and varied treasury of the church, particularly those pieces arising within or compatible with Lutheran practices.
