Douglas Smith

Office and Programs Manager

Mr. Smith comes to the LAC with a background and training in technical theatre, and came to the LAC from the Lied Center for Performing Arts, where he was the Senior Events Coordinator. For 25 years, he was a principle in Chicago Staging, producing and stage managing high visibility corporate events and tradeshows. He has extensive experience in event management, audio and video production and scripting, satellite up/downlinks and all aspects of technical production. He has called cues and managed technical staffs up to 35 members, in front of screaming audiences up to 18,000.
