Nanci Burchess-Smith

Nanci and her husband Sam have been married for 29 years.  Sam a gourmet cook and Nanci enjoy entertaining friends and family.  They love dogs and have three.  Nanci enjoys the outdoors for walking, gardening, golfing and nature.  She is dedicated to the happiness and well being of her family and friends and goes out of her way to make a positive difference in their lives.

She tries to remain positive and upbeat, no matter what the circumstances.

Nanci is extremely self motivated and has been self employed as a realtor since 1977.  She has been a member of the Chairman’s Top 10% Producers since its inception and a Multi-million dollar Producer since 1977.  She is committed to making Lincoln a better place to live in all areas, especially through the arts.  She believes the arts add quality, education and beauty to Lincoln.  Nanci loves the art and likes to incorporate younger people to carry on the appreciation of the arts.  She believes Lincoln is a terrific place to live, and wants to help bring more arts awareness to the community.  She sees herself as a connecter of people and likes to think outside the box to create new solutions to problems.  Nanci never gives up. She understands the importance of fundraising and willingness find new ways to bring awareness and raise money for LAC.

Her passion for the arts is shown in her attendance of arts activities and by serving on many different arts organization boards.  Including the Lincoln Community Playhouse Board, Theater Arts for Youth (TAFY), Membership Chair of the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra.  In addition, she chaired the campaign for United Way, American Cancer Society- Relay for Life Leader for 6 years.   She served on the Community Learning Center board.  She has taught classes at Clinton, Huntington, and Hartley to children about the value of money.

Nanci is a woman of action and can be counted on to do what she promises.  Although extremely busy with her career and family, she is committed to help move LAC positively into the future.
