About Amy

Amy Smith is a potter whose training began at Ohio University, Athens, OH. Her education continued as an Apprentice for Kaleidoscope Pottery in Easthampton, MA and as a Ceramic Intern at The Putney School Summer Programs in Putney, Vermont. Smith returned to The Putney School as the Ceramic Instructor while she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in Lincoln, NE. Smith teaches Adjunct at her Alma Mater the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and at Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska. Smith is a host for the Lincoln Clay Tour, held annually in conjunction with the UNL Clay Club Spring Sale. Smith exhibits nationally including:  Pottery by Design The Clay Studio, Philadelphia, PA, Functional Ceramics 2014 Wayne Center for the Arts, Wooster, OH, Celebrating Collecting Past Present Future Kennedy Museum of Art, Athens, OH and Cupling CFile.daily Santa Fe, NM.
