Kimmel Foundation Award - Visual
I am an interdisciplinary artist who works across media questioning cultural norms such as the 9:00 to 5:00 work day, the office environment, indoor living, gender stereotypes and the voluntary sharing of personal data. I create public interventions and durational performances which I document using photography, video and GPS.
My practice allows me to combine physical movement, digital technology, spirituality and artistic research. Unlike many other careers, art is one where the goal posts are constantly moving based on my personal interests and artistic/intellectual development. Art can be anything, so I have an immense amount of freedom in determining what I will create and how I will spend my time.
