Volunteer for the 2010 Lincoln Arts Festival


Madison VolunteeringThe Lincoln Arts Council is seeking volunteers for the 10th Annual Lincoln Arts Festival at the SouthPointe Pavilions. The event will be held September 25, 10:00am - 6:00pm and Sunday, September 26, 10:00am - 5:00pm! Last year more than 13,000 people attended this popular event. We need your help to make this year's Lincoln Arts Festival a big success. If you are interested, contact us with how you would like to help out.

Artist Check-in: Volunteers needed for two hour increments between 12pm & 8pm Friday, September 24th and between 7am & 9am Saturday, September 25th. Duties will include greeting artists as they arrive, checking them into the festival, and distributing artist handbooks. Volunteers will also become familiar with the festival layout, parking rules and traffic flow.

Booth Sitters: Volunteers need on Saturday, September 25th for two hour increments between 10am & 6pm and Sunday, September 26th for two hour increments between 10am & 5pm. Duties will include manning artists' booths to allow short breaks as needed, staffing the hospitality tent to provide refreshments to artists.

Festival Set up and Tear Down: Volunteers are needed Friday, September 24th from 4pm - 6pm to unpack and set up 10'x20' tents, chairs, and tables. Also needed for tear down on Sunday, September 26th from 5pm - 9pm or until finished.

Patron Breakfast: Volunteers are needed Saturday September 25th from 7am - 9am to dress and decorate tables for the patron breakfast.

Raffle Ticket Sales: Volunteers are needed for two-hour increments between 10 am - 6pm on Saturday, September 25th and between 10am – 4:30pm on Sunday, September 26th to assist with raffle ticket sales.

Interactive Art Tent for Kids: Volunteers are needed for two-hour increments between 8am – 6pm, Saturday, September 25th and between 10am – 6pm on Sunday, September 26th to assist children with art making, setup of activities and clean up at the end of the Festival.

Photographer: Volunteer is needed throughout the festival to photograph the event. There will be a shoot list to work from. Volunteers will need to provide their own equipment.

Survey and Attendance: Volunteers are needed Saturday, September 25th and Sunday, September 26th to conduct surveys of where festival-goers are from and to also count attendance.
