Sculpture

Artist Statement

Within my sculptures, I am attempting to access the varying layers of personal discovery. The figures in the clay derive their reality from the true challenge-discovery of the self. Each piece focuses on a moment of the discovery, awakening, and revelation of an individual's journey.

I have been sculpting the human figure for fifteen years. I am the only artist involved with my creations, titles, and stories.

I have lived in Wichita, Kansas all my life. I received a B.A. in History and Art at Newman University in 1994. From a very early age, my life has always revolved around art and its diverse meanings.
