Various arts have long played a part of my family’s life, previous generations passing down their passion to the next, up to my generation passing ours to our grandchildren. I would like to tell about 2 of my grandchildren who are very enthusiastic artists and have regularly participated in art opportunities since grade school, including art clubs and school competitions. Both of the girls have had their art chosen to tour the state with other student’s art, and have had their art selected to be displayed in participating businesses several times and at LPS. Both are now in High School. Several weeks ago my husband got a big surprise. He had to go to LPS to pick up some paperwork for the girls. When asked their names, the woman he spoke to paused, saying she knew those names, but couldn't remember how. Then her face lit up and she exclaimed, "Of course, the ART sisters! They both have art displayed here!" We didn’t know it, neither one had told us. They didn’t even know the other one had art displayed at LPS. That was a first! Art has given a lot joy to me, and is still giving it! I expect it will continue to be passed on down to future generations, too.
