Business: Crooked Creek Publishing
From: Washington, IA
Sean Miller was born in 1968 and raised in Washington, Iowa. He continues to reside there with his son Victor and daughter Josie. After graduating from Washington High School, Sean entered the Graphic design program at Iowa State University but then went on to receive his degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Commercial Art in 1992. In 1994 he started Crooked Creek Publishing, his own company as a self-published artist. He currently has 45 limited edition Giclee's on the market and has a large client list for original paintings. Sean also attends many fine art shows in the Midwest, which have assisted in making a name for himself to a wider audience. He also enjoys doing commissioned paintings such as portraits, homes and farmsteads, pets, and Christmas ornaments. Along with his paintings he has worked as an Art Gallery manager and picture framer for 18 years. Sean's medium of choice is Gouache, but he frequently paints in Oil. Most of his inspiration comes from many years of enjoyment in the outdoors and thatss his second home when not behind an easel. His current main focus is on rural landscapes of the Midwest, misty lake scenes, and songbirds.
I paint Midwest landscapes in either Gouache on hot press watercolor paper or Oil on Gesso board.
