Layered Glass

Artist Statement

My passion is to create one-of-a-kind glass designs with life-like visual depth & texture. The layering process begins with a blank sheet of glass, I then build layers using techniques such as: cut/chunk glass agglomeration, fritography,& pallet-knife painting – kiln firing between each layer to achieve visual depth. Additional depth is added in the thoughtful selection of various colors, shapes, & sizes of glass. A typical layered glass piece undergoes four kiln firings before completion.
