I cut, shape and melt several layers of recycled colored glass together in a kiln. While soft and heating in the kiln, I embed steel wire and recycled sheet copper. I also make special glass elements on a torch that are then fused in the kiln. The cooled, finished glass piece has wire and copper sticking out of it and can then be attached to frames that I construct from recycled metal, wood and a variety of found objects. My sculptures are comprised of mostly recycled materials.
