Artist Statement
I was born and raised in Hebron, NE. After graduating from UNL with a masters of education in gifted/talented, I taught for 10 years in 5 school districts in the Midwest. I’ve worked as a self-taught artist for over 30 years. I currently work in mixed media; I love the endless possibilities.
The surfaces of my mixed media paintings are layered with watercolors, acrylic paints, fibers, lithography markers, machine stitching and credit cards. Each attached to a hand built frame.
