Of Visual Interest
I graduated from San Jose State University in 1973 with an MFA in ceramic art, and have been working with the camera for the past forty years as my primary career. My home for this period has been in Portland, Oregon. Nothing pleases me more than watching people light up when seeing one of my images.
My work medium format is painterly impressions, each printed by the artist from the original negative, using traditional wet-darkroom techniques, and the most archival papers available. Compositions are strong, and visually compelling. The images are emotive, abstract, and minimalist. There is NO digital involvement in producing the work. They are presented in a laminated glassless format, which protects the photograph while allowing it to be as brilliant as possible, with no reflected glare.
