My name is Tom Sullivan and I am a self-taught artist from Lincoln, NE. I found my passion for art late in life, and began by drawing in pencil. Eventually, I moved to painting using ink wash. I paint every day – I am driven to create. Art moves me and I believe each of my pieces has a home.
I exclusively paint using india ink and ink wash on vintage paper, ranging from old dictionaries, sheet music, maps, etc. Some of the paper used is at least 100 years old. I tend to be drawn to dancers/ballerinas, female faces, the female form, musicians, and anguished women.
