The Mayor’s Arts Awards has become a much-anticipated tradition for Lincoln since its inception in 1978. It is our opportunity to come together as neighbors, friends, colleagues and patrons to celebrate the creativity among us. Nominations and selections are made by community members. Honorees proudly include “Mayor’s Arts Awards Winner” on their resumes. It is also an evening for the Lincoln Arts Council to shine, to share stories and provide a peak “behind the scenes” at the work of championing the arts, connecting people, changing lives.
