Lincoln Arts Named 2023 Community Partner of the Year for upstArt Program

In May the Community Learning Centers (CLC) office at Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) held its annual awards ceremony to recognize the people and organizations who make the greatest contributions to enhancing their programs. Lincoln Arts was recognized as the Community Partner of the Year alongside principals, teachers, and coordinators recognized for their contributions. The award reflects the expansive arts programming that Lincoln Arts brings to LPS’ after-school programming in the form of clubs and camps in a wide range of artistic disciplines, from theater to painting, photography, music, and more. In all, Lincoln Arts reached more than 500 children at nearly 40 schools this year, with a total of over 2,500 interaction hours between students and teaching artists.
